Johann Andreas Müller, a farmer, his wife Maria, and children (Maria, age 5¼; Johann, age 1¼) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 June 1766 aboard an English barque named George under the command of Skipper Adam Bairnsfair.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Katharinenstadt on 27 August 1766. Johann Andreas, a mason (Maurer), is recorded on the 1767 census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. 13 along with his new wife Susanna Bager.
Johann Andreas Müller (age 35), a mason (Maurer), and his wife Susanna Katharina née Bager (age 30) are recorded on the 1776 Katharinenstadt Grundbuch [Land Register] in Household No. 67.
Andreas Müller and his wife Katharina [surname not recorded] are recorded on the 1798 census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. Ka136.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Andreas Müller came from the German region of Sachsen (Saxony). Both the 1767 census and the 1776 Katharinenstadt Land Register record that Johann Andreas Müller came from the German village of Strehla in Sachsen (Saxony) and that Susanna Bager came from the village of Wiesbaden near Frankfurt am Main.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Müller family among the Volga German colonies.
