The parish register of St. Laurentius Catholic Church in Kalbach records the baptisms of the following children born to Kaspar & Katharina Adam: (1) Johannes Heinrich, baptized 19 February 1751; (2) Anna Ursula, baptized 12 March 1753; and (3) Johannes, baptized 11 March 1757.
Kaspar Adam, a farmer, his wife Katharina, and children (Heinrich, age 16½; Ursula, age 14; Johann, age 11) arrived from Lübeck via Reval [Estonia] at the port of Oranienbaum on 24 May 1766 aboard a pinque named Лапоминк (Lapomink - a Russian river) under the command of Lieutenant Dmitry Krykov.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Keller on 12 May 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 49 along with Kaspar's new wife Katharina and her children (Katharina Diehl, age 11; Karl Diehl, age 5).
Following the destruction of Keller, the Adam family relocated to Neu-Kolonie. The 1798 census of Neu-Kolonie records son Heinrich Adam in Household No. Nk10.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Adam Kaspar came from the German region of Mainz. The 1767 census records that Kaspar Adam came from the German village of Kalbach in the Kurmainz region.
