Johann [Daniel] Becker, his wife Margaretha, and children (Katharina, age 12; Valentin, age 8) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 June 1766 aboard the ship Die Jungfer Friederika under the command of Skipper Christian Korsholm.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Straub on 12 May 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 10.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Becker was a farmer while the 1767 census records that he was a cobbler (Schuhmacher).
The 1767 census records that Daniel Becker came from the German district of Offenbach in the Isenburg region.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Becker family among the Volga German colonies.
