[Johann] Georg Fischer, a farmer, his wife Anna, and children (Johannes, age 13; Susanna, age 8) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 10 August 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Nikolaus Peter Pink.
Joh. Georg Fischer, his wife Anna Catharina, and children (Joh., age 13; Susanna, age 8; Elisabeth, born en route) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that newborn Elisabeth died en route.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Ernestinendorf on 3 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 16 along with a note that they relocated to the colony of Basel in 1768.
In 1769, widow Katharina Fischer and her family moved from Ernestinendorf to Basel.
The 1767 census records that Johann Georg Fischer came from the German village of Büdingen in the Darmstadt region.
