Heinrich Teneke [sic], a cobbler (Schuhmacher), his wife Anna, and children (Klaus, age 13; Maria, age 10) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard an English frigate under the command of Skipper Adam Beerfeier.

Heinrich Teneke [sic], his wife Anna Catharina, and children (Claus, age 13; Maria, age 10¼) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

Heinrich Tenne [sic], a cobbler (Schuhmacher), his wife Anna, and children (Nikolaus, age 13; Anna, age 10) settled in the Volga German colony of Bettinger on 3 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 3.

Nikolaus Denk and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Bettinger in Household No. Bt12.

The death of Nikolaus Denk in 1821 is recorded on the 1834 census of Bettinger in Household No. 36.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Heinrich Teneke [sic] came from the German region of Holstein. The 1767 census records that Heinrich Tenne [sic] came from the German village of Segelberg [Segeberg?].
