An article by Hermann Wäschke records the following:
Emanuel Walt, with his wife and 3 children (one son & two daughters) from Diesdorf in the district of Dessau, having moved there from Porst near Köthen in 1761. Martin Joder from Löbejün bought his house with 6 Morgen plowed land, 2 Morgen pasture, along with livestock for 26 Thlr. He also owned half-interest in another house; the owner of the other half of this house, Gottfried Sieber, took it over for 13 Thlr. Of his 39 Thaler, his debts of 8 Thlr. 4 Gr. 6 Pfg. were paid and the remaining 30 Thaler 19 Gr. 6 Pfg. were sent to the ducal government.
Research by Karl Becker confirms that Emanuel Waldt was born in the village of Porst. He moved to Diesdorf in 1761.
Immanuel Walt, a farmer, his wife Augusta, and children (Sophia, age 13; Dorothea, age 10; Andreas, age 7) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.
Emanuel Waldt, his wife Augusta, and children (Anna Sophia, age 14; Dorothea, age 11; Andreas, age 8) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Boisroux on 7 June 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 11.
Daughter Maria Dorothea is recorded on the 1798 census of Boisroux in Household No. Bx13.
The 1767 census records that Walt Immanuel came from the German region of Köthen along with a note that he was born in the village of Diesdorf.
