Discussion & Documentation

Theodor Menor was born in approximately 1791. He served in Napoleon's army and fought against the Russians. He was captured by the Russians, and in 1812, was settled in the Volga German colony of Ober-Monjou.

He is recorded on the 1834 Katharinenstadt Census in Household No. 294 along with a note that he had relocated there from Ober-Monjou in 1818. He is recorded on the 1850 Katharinenstadt Census in Household No. 395. He is recorded on the 1857 Katharinenstadt Census in Household No. 422 along with a note that he died in 1853.

There do not appear to be any surviving male descendants of this family among the Volga German colonies.
