Johann Heinrich Günther, a single farmer, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 13 September 1766 aboard the galliot Die Perle under the command of Skipper Thomson.
He settled in the Volga German colony of Frank in 1767. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 49 along with his new wife Anna Barbara.
The 1767 census records that Johann Heinrich Günther came from the German village of Enerhof in the Hessen-Darmstadt region. The Oranienbaum passenger list records that he came from the region of Darmstadt.
