Johann[es] Baum, a farmer, his wife Anna Margaretha, and children (Johann Adam, age 10¼; Anna Dorothea, age 8; Heinrich, age 5; Johannes, age 2¼) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 13 September 1766 aboard the pink Slon [English: Elephant] under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov.
Johannes Baum, his wife Anna Margaretha, and children (Joh. Adam, age 11; Anna Dorothea, age 8; Heinrich, age 6; Johannes, age 2) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Frank in 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 55.
The 1767 census records that Johannes Baum came from the German village of Ebergi in the Hessen-Darmstadt region.
