Jakob Klaudy, a farmer, his wife Anna, and children (Johann [Georg], age 11; Christian, age 8) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Enders on 15 July 1767. Widow Jakob and his son Johann Georg are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 36.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Jakob Klaudy came from the German region of Hanau. The 1767 census records that he came from the German village of Donau in the Hannover region.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
