Johann Adam Weiss, his wife Anna, and children (Jakob, age 20; Johann, age 11; Philipp, age 8) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 aboard the ship Der Junge Heinrich under the command of Skipper Heinrich Niemann.

Son Jakob is believed to be recorded on the 1798 census in Katharinenstadt in Household No. Ka028.
