Johann Bernhardt Hühn, a single farmer, settled in the Volga German colony of Schwed on 1 July 1766. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 13.

The 1767 census records that Johann Bernhardt Hühn came from the German town of Königsberg in the region of Prussia.
