Kaspar Mechwart, a farmer, his wife Katharina, and daughters (Katharina, age 11; Elisabeth, age 8; Elisabeth, age 2) are recorded on the 1767 census of Dönhof in Household No. 86. They had arrived in Dönhof on 18 June 1767.
The 1767 census records that Kaspar Mechwart came from the German region of Würzburg.
There are no known surviving male descendants of this family among the Volga German colonies.
