Discussion & Documentation

Kaspar [Se]bastian Bengel (age 14) and his sister Elisabeth (age 9) are recorded on the 1767 census of Dreispitz in Household No 28 along with their mother and stepfather Johann Kaspar Hessel. They settled in the Volga German colony of Dreispitz on 20 July 1767.

Sebastian Bengel is recorded on the 1798 census of Dreispitz in Household No. Dr11.

There do not appear to be surviving male descendant lines of this Bengel family among the Volga German colonies.
