Peter Gross, his wife Anna, and daughter Gertruda (age 1¼) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the Russian galliot named Kronverk under the command of Lieutenant Dmitry Ilyin.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Müller on 16 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 2.
In 1790, Peter Gross and his family moved from Müller to Kraft.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Peter Gross was a farmer from the German region of Stolberg. The 1767 census records that he was a carpenter (Zimmermann) from the German village of Steinberg.
