Peter Schwartz, a single farmer, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a ship named Die Zwei Gebrüder (The Two Brothers) under the command of Skipper Nicolaus Peter Pinck.
Peter Schwartz is recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Orphan Peter Schwartz (age 18) is recorded on the 1767 census of Paulskaya in Household No. 18 along with the Georg Lochmann family.
The 1767 census does not record a relationship between the Schwartz and Lochmann families.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Peter Schwartz came from the German region of Hessen. The 1767 census does not record from where Peter Schwartz came.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Schwartz family among the Volga German colonies.
