Friedrich Charten [sic], a farmer, his wife Dorothea, [step-]daughters (Maria [surname not recorded], age 10¼; Elisabeth [surname not recorded], age 7) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 June 1766 aboard an English barque named George under the command of Skipper Adam Bairnsfair.
Frieder. Chartep [sic], his wife Dorothea, and [step-]daughter Doro. Sophia [surname not recorded] (age 10) are recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Friedrich Scharlipp, a farmer, his wife Dorothea, [step-]daughter Dorothea [surname not recorded] (age 13), and daughter Elisabeth (age 6-months) are recorded on the 1767 census of Paulskaya in Household No. 46. They had arrived in Paulskaya on 7 June 1767.
In 1781, Friedrich Scharlipp and his family moved from Paulskaya to Enders.
Friedrich Scharlipp and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Enders in Household No. En27.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Friedrich Charten [sic] came from the German region of Zerbst. The 1767 census records that Friedrich Scharlipp came from the German village of Schwerin.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
