Johannes Schiel (age 19) and his siblings Jakob (age 18) and Maria (age 17) settled in the Volga German colony of Göbel and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 30 along with their stepfather Lorenz Person.

The 1767 census does not record from where the Schiel family came.
