Widow Elisabeth Engel and her son Ludwig (age 2) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 June 1766 aboard the ship Die Jungfer Friederika under the command of Skipper Christian Korsholm.

Ludwig Engel is recorded on the 1798 census of Frank in Household No. Fk129.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Elisabeth Engel came from the German region of Braunfels.
