Johann Adam Meÿer [sic] and Elisabeth Heil were married on 3 October 1765 in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Lübeck.
Adam Meier, a wool carder (Wollschläger), his wife Elisabeth, and son Nikolaus (age 6-months) are recorded on the 1767 census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. 31. They had arrived there on 27 August 1766.
Adam Meier (age 36), a wool carder (Wollkämmer), his wife Elisabeth née Heil (age 24), and son Franz Heinrich (age 1½) are recorded on the 1776 Katharinenstadt Grundbuch [Land Register] in Household No. 7.
Both the 1767 census and the 1776 Katharinenstadt Land Register record that Adam Meier came from the German region of Nassau-Usingen. The Land Register also records that Elisabeth née Heil came from the German village of Kleinlüder in the Vogtland region.
