Discussion & Documentation

Anton Breveau, a barber (Friseur), and his wife Elisabeth Speher are recorded on the 1767 census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. 148. They had settled there on 3 August 1767.

The 1767 census records that Anton Breveau came from the French region of Verdun.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
