Jakob Reimer, a combmaker (Kam[pel]macher), and his wife Anna settled in the Volga German colony of Katharinenstadt on 23 July 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 151.

The 1767 census records that Jakob Reimer came from the German region of Magdeburg.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Reimer family among the Volga German colonies.
