Joseph Ressendorf [sic], a turner (Dreher), and his wife Katharina settled in the Volga German colony of Katharinenstadt on 17 August 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 56.
Johann Diesendorf [age not recorded] and his wife Johanna Christina Rasge (age 22) are recorded on the 1776 Katharinenstadt Grundbuch [Land Register] in Household No. 106 along with a note recording the births of their sons (Adam Johann, born in 1777; Friedrich, born in 1779). They are recorded on the Land Register in the household of Johann Christina's step-father Franz Delsop.
Widow Christina Diesendorf née Delsop and her children are recorded on the 1798 census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. Ka071. [Delsop is the surname of her step-father; her maiden name is Rasge.]
The 1767 census records that Joseph Ressendorf [sic] came from the German village of Lauschburg [?] in Bayern (Bavaria).
