Jeremias Hecht, a craftsman (Handwerker), and his wife Katharina settled in the Volga German colony of Walter on 25 August 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 82.
The 1767 census records that Jeremias Hecht came from the German village of Kiznen [?] in the region of Werzenberg [Wüttemberg?].
There are no known surviving male lines of this Hecht family among the Volga German colonies.
