Johann Heinrich Knorr, a craftsman (Handwerker), and his wife Karolina settled in the Volga German colony of Walter on 25 August 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 56.
The 1767 census records that Johann Heinrich Knorr came from the German village of Reinheim in the Hessen-Darmstadt region.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Knorr family among the Volga German colonies.
