Andreas Stertz, a farmer, and his wife Anna Elisabeth settled in the Volga German colony of Krasnoyar on 20 July 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 95.
Some translations record this surname as Stürtz.
The 1767 census records that Andreas Stertz came from the German village of Wächtersbach in the Isenburg region.
