Johann Künsler [sic], a farmer, and his wife Maria arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a barque named Fortitudo (Fortitude) under the command of Skipper John Scott.
Eberhard Künzler [sic], a farmer, and his wife Maria Katharina settled in the Volga German colony of Krasnoyar on 20 July 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 82.
Anna Margaretha Weitz (widow of both Johannes Küntzler & Heinrich Weitz) and her son Johannes Küntzler (age 20) is recorded on the 1798 census of Krasnoyar in Household No. Ks077.
Philipp Küntzler (age 22), presumed son of Johannes Küntzler, and his wife are recorded on the 1798 census of Krasnoyar in Household No. Ks085.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Künstler came from the German region of Laubach. The 1767 census records that Eberhard Künzler [sic] came from the German region of Laubach.
[Some publications record this surname as Kanzler, but later documents record it as Küntzler.]
