Discussion & Documentation

Georg Schepp / Schett, a butcher (Fleischer), settled in the Volga German colony of Brabander on 26 June 1767. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 122 along with a note that his wife had died during the trip under the command of Oberleutenant Dunkel.

The 1767 census records that Georg Schepp / Schett came from the German village of Innsburg [Innsbruck?] in the Tirol region.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
