[Johann] Adam Reich, a miller, his wife Anna, and son Johann[es] (age 17) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a galliot named Kronstadt under the command of Lieutenant Samuel Gibbs.
The parents evidently died because Johannes Reich is recorded alone on the 1767 census of Yagodnaya Polyana in Household No. 39 along with the Johannes Becher family. The 1767 census does not record a relationship between the Reich and Becher families.
Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that this Reich family came from the German region of Darmstadt.
