Christian Winster [sic], a farmer, his wife Katharina, and children (Elisabeth, age 5; Christian, age 3; Christian David, age ¾) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.
Christian Winster [sic], his wife Katharina, and son Joh. Christ. David [age not recorded] are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Christian Winter [sic], a farmer, his wife Margaretha, and son August (age 1½) are recorded on the 1767 census of Boisroux in Household No. 39. They had settled there on 7 June 1767.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Christian Winster [sic] came from the German region of Zürich [?]. The 1767 census records that Christian Winter [sic] came from the German village of Kosswig in the Brandenburg region.
