Johann Zacharius Bausch [sic], a cobbler, and his wife Elisabeth arrived from Lübeck at the port in Oranienbaum on 11 August 1766 aboard a Russian galliot named Citadel under the command of Midshipman Gregory Bukharin.
Zacharias Bauss and his wife Elisabeth are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that Elisabeth died en route.
Johann Zacharias Baus, a craftsman (Handwerker), and his wife Anna Margaretha settled in the Volga German colony of Dönhof on 18 June 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 102.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Zacharias Bausch [sic] came from the German region of Erbach. The 1767 census records that Johann Zacharias Baus came from the German region of Erbach.
