Christoph Peterson, a hunter (Jäger), and his wife Regina are recorded on an appendix to the 1767 census of Beauregard in Household No. 35. Their descendants are recorded on the 1798 census of Dinkel in Households No. Dn11 & Dn37.

The 1767 census records that Christoph Peterson came from the German village of Bassenheim.
