Jakob Bauer, a cooper (Böttcher), his wife Anna Maria, and daughter Anna Katharina (age 16) are recorded on the 1767 census of Dehler in Household No. 21. They had settled there on 26 July 1767.
The 1767 census records that Jakob Bauer came from the German village of Neustadt in the Kurmainz region.
