Johann Bergmann, a single carpenter (Tischler), settled in the Volga German colony of Boisroux on 7 June 1767. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 90.

The 1767 census records that Johann Bergmann came from the Swedish village of Falun.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
