Daniel Ockel, a farmer, his wife Anna, and sons (Johann, age 3; Ferdinand, age 1) are recorded on the 1767 census of Beauregard in Household No. 45. They had settled there on 27 August 1766.
The 1767 census records that Daniel Ockel came from the German village of Kornbach.
