Johann Georg Feiling, a farmer, and his wife Anna settled in the Volga German colony of Bettinger on 3 August 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 6.
The 1767 census records that Johann Georg Feiling came from the German village of Waldgirmes in the Darmstadt region.
