Philipp Heckmann, a single physician (Arzt), arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 11 June 1766 aboard a ship named Der Junge Heinrich (The Young Henry) under the command of Skipper Heinrich Niemann.
Johann Philipp Heckmann is recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Johannes Heckmann, a physician (Arzt), and his [new] wife Maria Elisabeth arrived in the Volga German colony of Keller on 15 July 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 55.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johannes Heckmann came from the German region of Böhmen (Bohemia). The 1767 census records that Johannes Heckmann came from the German village of Schlechtenwald in the region of Böhmen (Bohemia).
There are no known surviving male lines of this Heckmann family among the Volga German colonies.
