The parish register of Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Bad Camberg records that Johannes Adam Pauly of Dombach married on 11 April 1741 in Bad Camberg to Anna Dorothea Grech [?] of Oberselters.
The following children were born to Johannes Adam Pauly & Anna Dorothea Grech: (1) Anna Maria, baptized 10 January 1742; (2) Maria Katharina, baptized 12 August 1744; (3) Margaretha, baptized 14 September 1746; (4) Maria Elisabetha, baptized 10 February 1748; (5) Katharina, baptized 24 January 1751; (6) Johannes Adam, baptized 29 January 1754; (7) Johannes, baptized 8 October 1756; (8) Johannes, baptized 24 February 1759; and (9) Anton, baptized 5 October 1763.
Adam Paulÿ, a wheelwright (Stellmacher), his wife Anna [Dorothea], and children (Maria [Magdalena], age 17¼; Marianna, age 14; Johann Adam, age 13; Johann, age 7; Anton; age 3) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 11 June 1766 aboard the ship named Der Junge Heinrich (The Young Heinrich) under the command of Skipper Heinrich Niemann.
Johann Adam Pauli is recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
They arrived in the Volga German colony of Keller on 15 July 1767 where the father died on 5 October 1767. The widow Dorothea (age 46) and children (Magdalena, age 19; Johann Adam, age 15) are recorded on the 1767 census of Keller in Household No. 71.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Adam Paulÿ came from the German region of Trier. The 1767 census records that widow Dorothea Paulÿ came from the German village of Kamberg in the Kurtrier region.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Paulÿ family among the Volga German colonies.
