Discussion & Documentation

Johann Christian Müller, a single Hussar (Husar) - member of the light cavalry, settled in the Volga German colony of Kaneau on 3 August 1767. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 43 along with the orphaned Konrad von Rau (age 14). The 1767 census does not record a relationship between the Müller and von Rau families.

The 1767 census records that Johann Christian Müller came from the German region of Wesel.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Müller family among the Volga German colonies.
