Dorothea Rätz, widow of Andreas from Limtsch, born in Griesen, and her 10-year-old son. She has been living on charity (Schwartzen Stamme) and owns nothing herself.
Gottfried Klehmann, a farmer, his wife Anna, and [step-]son Johann [Retz] (age 15) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a ship named Die Zwei Gebrüder (The Two Brothers) under the command of Skipper Nicolaus Peter Pinck.
Gottfried Klemann [sic], his wife Elisabeth, and [step-]son Johann Christoph [Retz] (age 15) are recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Christoph Retz (age 16) is recorded on the 1767 census of Kaneau in Household No. 34 along with his stepfather Gottfried Klehmann.
Christoph Retz and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Kaneau in Household No. Kn20.
Christoph's widow and children are recorded on the 1834 census of Kaneau in Household No. 4.
The 1850 census of Rosental records that the families of Johann Wilhelm Retz and Johann Gottfried Retz arrived from Kaneau in 1850.
The 1767 census does not record from where Christoph Retz came.
