Sebastian Beck, a farmer, his wife Magdalena, and daughter Margaretha (age 7) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard an English frigate under the command of Skipper Adam Beerfeier.
Johann Sebastian Beck, his wife Magdalena, and daughter Margaretha (age 7) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Orphan Anna Margaretha Beck (age 9) is recorded on the 1767 census of Katharinenstadt following Household No. 230.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Sebastian Beck came from the German region of Bayreuth. The 1767 census does not record from where Anna Margaretha Beck came.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Beck family among the Volga German colonies.
