Johanna Dorothea Brin (age 16), a single woman, settled in the Volga German colony of Katharinenstadt on 7 June 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 229 along with a note that she is working as a day-laborer (Lohnarbeiterin).

The 1767 census records that Johanna Dorothea Brin came from the German village of Gening [?].

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
