Sebastian Garion, a farmer, his wife Ottilia, and children (Johannes, age 20; Magdalena, age 12) are recorded on the 1767 census of Hildmann in Household No. 40. They had settled there on 18 August 1767.

In 1797, Joseph Garion moved from Mariental to Louis.

He is recorded on the 1798 census of Louis in Household No. Ls08.

The 1767 census records that Sebastian Garion came from the German village of Mina [?].
