Anton Batzinger [sic], a farmer, his wife Anna, and son Johann [age not recorded] arrived from Lübeck via Reval [Estonia] at the port of Oranienbaum on 24 May 1766 aboard a pinque named Лапоминк (Lapomink - a Russian river) under the command of Lieutenant Dmitry Krykov.
Anton Beuschinger, a cooper (Fassbinder), and his wife Johanna Eleonora are recorded on the 1767 census of Seelmann in Household No. 20. They had settled there on 15 July 1767.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Anton Batzinger [sic] came from the German region of the Pfalz. The 1767 census records that Anton Beuschinger came from the German village of Landshut.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
