Discussion & Documentation
Johann Jakob Schmidt (age 16) and his brother Johannes (age 6) are recorded on the 1767 census of Seelmann in Household No. 10 along with their stepfather Johannes Krug.
Jakob Schmidt "escaped" - date is not recorded but evidently before 1788.
The 1767 census does not record from where Johann Jakob Schmidt came.
