Johannes Schmidt, his wife Maria Magdalena, and children (Johann Adam, age 13; Anna Maria, age 10; Anna Catharina, age 9; Conrad, age 2) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that father Johannes died en route.
Widow Maria Magdalena remarried to Franz Zacharias Greich. They and her surviving children (Johann Adam Schmidt, age 13; Maria Schmidt, age 9; Anna Katharina Schmidt, age 8) are recorded on the 1767 census of Leitsinger in Household No. 58 along with a note that they relocated to the colony of Seelmann in 1768.
The 1767 census does not record from where the Schmidt siblings came.
