Konrad Becker, a farmer, his wife Anna, and daughters (Katharina, age 3; Elisabeth, age 1½) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a barque named Fortitudo (Fortitude) under the command of Skipper John Scott.
Johann Konrad Bäcker, a farmer, his wife Anna Kunigunda, and son Johann Georg (age 2-weeks) are recorded on the 1767 census of Stephan in Household No. 5. They had settled there on 24 August 1767.
Widow Anna Kunigunda Bäcker is recorded on the 1798 census of Stephan in Household No. Sp20.
The death of Konrad Bäcker in 1818 is recorded on the 1834 census of Stephan in Household No. 54.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Konrad Becker came from the German region of Darmstadt. The 1767 census records that Johann Konrad Bäcker came from the German village of Wohnfeld.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Bäcker family among the Volga German colonies.
