Johann Fost [sic], a stonemason, his wife Anna, children (Johann, age 3; Anna, age 1½), and mother Anna arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a barque named Fortitudo (Fortitude) under the command of Skipper John Scott.
Johannes Post, his wife Anna Margreta, and children (Johannes, age 4; Conrad, born en route) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that father Johannes and son Conrad died en route.
The surviving Post family members have not been located on the 1767 census.
In 1790, Johann Post and his family moved from Stephan to Müller.
Johannes Post from Stephan is recorded on the 1798 census of Müller in Household No. Ml02.
The death of Johannes Post in 1823 is recorded on the 1834 census of Müller in Household No. 28.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Fost [sic] came from the German region of Darmstadt.
