Adam Seher, a mason (Maurer), his wife Anna, and sons (Johann, age 18; Andreas, age 3) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 11 June 1766 aboard a ship named Der Junge Heinrich (The Young Henry) under the command of Skipper Heinrich Niemann.
Widow Anna Sehr [sic] is recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Heinrich Seher (age 17) is recorded on the 1767 census of Warenburg in Household No. 64 along with his stepfather Adam Hieronymus.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Adam Seher came from the German region of Trier. The 1767 census does not record from where Heinrich Seher came.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Seher family among the Volga German colonies.
