Johann Georg Burgardt, a farmer, settled in the Volga German colony of Warenburg on 12 May 1767. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 109 along with his wife Anna Elisabeth and mother Anna Ursula. A note on the 1767 census records that Johann Georg Burgardt died 12 September 1767.

The 1767 census records that Anna Elisabeth Burgardt came from the German village of Weinbach in the Isenburg region.

There are no surviving male lines of this Burgardt family among the Volga German colonies.
